SOUTH DEERFIELD — Funding for repairs to the Frontier Regional School tennis courts will come before townspeople for approval this spring after all.

The Deerfield Community Preservation Committee reconsidered Thursday night and voted unanimously to recommend the request to town meeting on April 28.

The only town left to recommend the request to town meeting is Conway. The Whately and Sunderland committees already recommended the requests.

Superintendent Martha Barrett said she is meeting with the Conway Community Preservation Committee on May 7.

If the committee approves, the request could make the agenda in time for the annual town meeting on May 12.

The money is contingent on approval in all four towns.

The School Committee has applied for $32,999 in Community Preservation Act money from its four feeder towns.

It is requesting $4,455 from Conway, $15,345 from Deerfield, $4,748 from Whately and $8,451 from Sunderland.

The money would be used to repair cracks in the courts.

The tennis courts are used by the Deerfield summer recreation program, for gym classes at Frontier and by community members.
